Listening to the radio on the way to work today I heard someone talking about the one terrorist's "partner" who participated in the Dallas attack. My first thought was that it was very progressive of them to be gay muslim extremists.

The first 'cuddle cafe' - Soine-ya (which means "sleep together shop") also opened recently in Tokyo, allowing male customers to sleep next to a girl for a fee. Sexual requests are not allowed. Instead the men can purchase extras such as "staring at each other for a minute" and "stroking the girl's hair for three minutes".

Its what dreams are made of!

It was in the 80s this past week but that gets a lot hotter when you are in a box with sticky, sticky syrup being boiled a few feet away from you. It gets into the upper 90s and can even break a hundred where I live.  I have an hour long commute and my air condition has been broken for awhile (getting fixed today) so I spend the commute home sitting around baking and wishing there was less traffic.

Good luck figuring out what that all means if you don't know Farenheigt.

I'm down south of you Alex in north VA and my car just doesn't have air conditioning period (was only $10k brand new though) and apparently no aftermarket ACs will fit in it according to the mechanics I took it to.  So I feel your pain.

So I saw a crow flying low over the road on the way home from work today, a rabbit darting by at the same time. I look over and the crow lands while dropping something. Its a baby rabbit. The bigger rabbit (probably mother, I guess?) is running towards it at that point. The story ends here as I had to keep driving. So no, not friends.

Thanks, I know it is.

And skip the election? I don't think so. You're probably dreading that post but honestly I've always had a way of saying something different than everybody else is so maybe you'll find an interesting thought in here among the incorrect bullshit.

I've never liked David Cameron. I always thought that he was a wimp and that he stood for nothing. He was basically a caretaker who couldn't win an election even after his opponents had twenty miserable years in government. And yet, he and his team really won this election. He got his votes out where they mattered and managed an outright majority. Early on as results were being announced BBC announcers were grilling Conservative spokesmen (and others parties' as well) and one of the questions was how the conservatives could ever win a majority government if they couldn't in 2010 and 2015. Well they answered it a few hours later, Scotland is not neccissary for an out right one party majority to be formed. So what were his tactics? The TV seems to like to say that it was targetting Lib Dem seats, and that certainly happened, but I disagree there. A lot of those were traditional target areas and even more were just won due to the outsized Lib Dem collapse. Veritable free-bees. I'm talking about his so-called dirty and fearful campaign. It turns out that English voters really don't like the SNP, who'd have thought. I think Cameron selling people on the (disliked) idea of a coalition of the left won him the votes neccissary to retain his own seats and even gain a few from Labour. At the same time it cost him nothing since he only had one Scottish seat to lose. The Conservatives kept that one, of course, but it would have been not but a small loss if they didn't.

O that subject, the SNP won nearly everything they could possibly have wanted, seat-wise, and more than a few things they probably thought were out of reach. They'll have no power in Westminster but thats probably fine, its easier to be out of power than a junior coalition member anyway, especially in a nearly evenly divided parliament where even minor parties would have to vote the whip on everything important. This might well be the party's electoral high water mark but that hardly matters, they've rewritten the map and won't be going down to single digits again any time soon. Scottish Labour got executed, a whole generation of union jocks wiped out. They said exactly the wrong things after the independence referrendum and it killed them. The Conservatives were smart enough to at least talk about some sort of reform, even if was just a self-serving form. Commentators are saying that this was a long time coming and Tony Blair (and Brown following) was to blame. I don't buy it for a minute, Blair's policies and foreign agenda might not have been popular in Scotland but he's been gone for awhile and the party seemed to be moving back left without him and Brown.

So what is Labour to do then? It seems like people think that the party is fucked, or that they need a new Blair or they need to embrace anarco-socialism or whatever. Honestly, I think the best thing they could have done was kept Miliband on for another two or so years and then have him step down in order to have their new leader comparitively "fresh" for twenty-twenty. Remember, Labour actually looked like they were in good shape for a while after Miliband came in. I don't think that the masses understand or care about the nuances of policy. Let the Conservatives destroy themselves on that stuff, what Labour needs to do is get a workable platform and then wait for the conservatives to fail. I suppose one area they could look at is trying for a more "us" versus "them" with the southeast and London's rich, global elite being the them and Scotland, the north and midlands, industrial areas of Wales, whatever poorer parts of London are still left etc being the "us." In England itself I never seem to see this stuff crop up and I've always been curious about why, it seems like a no-brainer to me.

I do not like the Liberal Democrats, mostly because I have never really been able to point out what ideology they actually have. Back in the day they were a merger of, two groups that were supposed to hate eachother, a social democratic party and a liberal party and what did they become? Seriously, which ideology did they adapt? I can't tell. Its been thirty years now and they still haven't figured out which of the two they really are. Thirty years of constituency services being their biggest selling point. Its funny, the one area that those two groups should have in common, the one area that other parties are shying away from, is being unabashedly pro-European. It might not be something the general public adores but its open ground and would at least give them a real base to fall back on. Well, I expect them to claw some stuff back in the future but this is probably it for them being Britain's third party. They're still a major party, bigger than the Greens and with more seats than the kippers. Speaking of which, in the sense that they'll contest stuff country wide and be expected to win seats at all levels of the political process, I consider UKIP a major party now too, despite only having one seat.

Now on governing... Cameron's policies seem to be leaking out to the press at an alarming rate, most of these leaks sound like bullshit or stuff that would be curtailed before enactment out of fear of public backlash. I'm a conservative with a small c and he's a very different type of conservative from myself. Never been a fan of his personality or the policies of the modern day British Conservative party. He'll govern with an eye towards benefitting his rich friends in London and the global upper class while the people who voted him in get fucked. It seems like the tories care little for personal rights and thats unlikely to change. The EU Refferendum is a joke, he's delayed it so long out of hope that he'd never have to run it but now it looks like he will. Regardless Europe will tell him to go get fucked when he tries to "re-negotiate"- they have all the power and he has none- and he'll have to go out and sell the EU to Britain afterwards anyway because leaving it would cost a lot of peope a lot of money. I mean the "Anti" coalition is made up of UKIP and various backbencher Tories, they're supposed to take on all of the other parties as well as the sitting goverment? Don't make me laugh.

Had a dream a few weeks ago where I ended up in a bordello and had a woman give me a really really weak sauce BDSM session. Like she slapped one of my fingers with a plastic fork. I laughed at her for how shit it was and then she took out an axe. This is the part where the dream got distressing...

Funnily enough I think this is the first time in the history of mankind that Taco Bell has actually helped someone lose weight.

Turns out that "spooky nook" is an Amish slang word for cunt.
