Prior to Saturday, Syracuse hadn’t won a game in November under Dino Babers. But SU did just that, winning 41-24 at Wake Forest. The Orange won unconventionally, too, getting the victory without throwing a passing touchdown for the first time since 2014, before Babers’ tenure. The effort was sparked in part by strong defense from Ryan Guthrie, who tallied 11 tackles and two sacks.
